About: The family estate located in South Beaujolais has existed since 1850 and was passed down from his father. It is made up of different terroirs (clay-limestone, silt, granite, alluvium, pink sands) which allows JFD to develop vintages with characteristics specific to each plot. The vines on the estate are made up of Gamay, Viognier and Chardonnay.
Until 2016 the grapes were either brought to the cooperative cellar or sold to local winegrowers (and this remains the case for about 9 hectares). In 2016, a change of profession for Jean-François Debourg becoming winemaker and not only a winegrower. Jean-François is not only a winemaker, he is also a mason (built his winery, his storage), a winemaker full of energy, ideas. Changing, moving, modifying with every vintage.
